She completed medial and master’s studies in the field of cerebrovascular diseases (title of the master’s thesis Characteristics of TIAs preceding ischaemic stroke) at the Medical Faculty of the University of Novi Sad. Her first clinical experience was at the Neurology Department of the Subotica General Hospital, while her residency training in neurology was completed at the Medical Faculty of the University of Belgrade in 2014. She has been employed at the Neurology Clinic of the Clinical Centre of Serbia since November 2017. Ms Tamas is currently attending the third year of doctoral studies in the field of clinical neurology. Simultaneously she is taking part in two scientific projects by the European Union – RISAIND 2011 in neuromuscular diseases and MULTSCLER 2013 in multiple sclerosis. As a participant of the latter project she has spent three months at the Neurology Clinic of the University of Szeged, Hungary studying the methods of liquor examination under the mentorship of Professor László Vécsei. She has also completed a course in ultrasound diagnostics and a course in electromyoneurography at the Medical Faculty of the University of Novi Sad. Olivera is the founder of the Society of Young Serbian Neurologists and has contributed to its successful operation through the initiation and organization of number of activities: School, online KME, she is one of editors of Synapse, a medical journal for young neurologists. She is a member of the Serbian Medical Society, the Society of Serbian Neurologists, the European Academy of Neurology and the World Federation of Neurology.
