Prof. Dr Zagorka B. Jovanovic (Markovic) was born in Belgrade, where she had studied Medical faculty (1969-1974, average mark 9.46).
She emploied on Institute of Neurology, Clinical Center of Serbia. She was employedt II Clinical department- Department for cerebrovascular diseases and headaches and in Laboratory for ulrasound diagnosis cerebrovascular diseases. She passed specialystic examination of neurology (neuropsychiatry) 1980. by exelent mark. The neurosonologic education she performed on Millitary Mediacl Academy 1989. and, on Institute of Neurology in Debrecen, Hungaria, 2003.
She passed M.A. examination, with topic „Importance of cardiac rhytm disorders for acute cerebrovascular diseases“, on 1981. and doctorate, with topic „Beta-thromboglobuline and circulated platelet aggregats in cerebrovascular disease“, on 1987. year with excellent success. She was elected for assistent of neurology on Medical faculty in Belgrade on 1988, for Assist. Professor 2000. and Proffesor 2010. year. She is giving lectures for students of Medical faculty by serbian and english languages, than specalistic teaching of neurology, subspecialistic teaching of ulatrosonography and continuing neurological teaching. She was mentor for M.A. (masters) examinations and doctoral dissertations, and for students scientific investigations, also.
Prof. Jovanović Z. published 273 scientific articles (6 were cited in Current Contents, 18 in Medline). She was author of monograph „Ultrasonic diagnostics of cerebrovascular diseases“ 1999, and four chapters in textbooks of the other autors, including textbook Neurology for medical students, 2007.
Prof. Jovanović Z. was investigator in 11 scientific projects, from which three are actual. She had taken parti in organization of four neurlogical congresses. Also, she was secretary of Neurological section (1991-1992) and member of Angiological section presidency (1992-1994) of Serbian medical society. Prof. Jovanovic Z is member od scientific committee of Nacional neurosonic society, with active role as teacher and mentor in Nacional neurosonic school.

Expert in ultrasound diagnosis of cerebrovascular disorders, coordinator of the Laboratory for ultrasound diagnosis of cerebrovascular diseases.

Award of the Clinical Center of Serbia for the best medical books published 1999: Ultrasound diagnosis of cerebrovascular diseases.
