EFNS-RTC Belgrade 2008, Final Report

The second EFNS Teaching Course in Serbia took place in Belgrade in co-organization of School of Medicine, University of Belgrade, in June 26-28th 2008. The venue of the RTC was Hotel M (chain of Best Western Hotels), supplied with a big room capacity and three halls convenient for parallel afternoon sessions. Hotel M is located in one of the best residential areas in Belgrade and not in the very center, so that all speakers and participants were accommodated in  one place and felt comfortable.
Invited lecturers were eight distinguish European neurologists, chosen from the official list of EFNS speakers: Prof. Natan Bornstein (Israel), Prof. Vida Demarin (Croatia), Prof. Laszlo Olah (Hungary), Prof. Anna Czlonkowska (Poland), Prof. Antonio Federico (Italy), Prof. Marta Altieri (Italy), Prof. Lutz Harms (Germany), Prof. Erich Scmutzhard (Austria). Also, two well known Serbian professionals, Prof Nada Sternic and  Prof.Dragan Pavlovic, participated as speakers as well.
Prof. Reinhard Schmidt (Austria) unfortunately had canceled his lecture 10 days before RTC started for serious personal reasons.
There were 50 participants coming mostly from Serbia, but also from Bosnia&Herzegovina, Macedonia and Romania. The profile of participants  consisted of: neurologists and neurologists in training.
The participants were very satisfied with the organization of both,  Scientific and Educational Programme. All of them highly evaluated the lectures given by foreign speakers. They particularly stressed good quality and practical value of afternoon sessions (rotating workshops) and proved achieved knowledge with excellent results at the Final Exam.
