Višnja Padjen graduated at School of Medicine, University of Belgrade in 2007. At the same faculty she has finished academic specialist work with dissertation entitled "Brain death: diagnostic criteria and transplantation” in 2010., and has defended her PhD thesis entitled “Acute ischemic stroke in patients with atrial fibrillation: clinical characteristics and outcome”, in 2014. In 2015. she has been awarded with MBA degree at City College, The University of Sheffield (UK) with dissertation entitled: “Change Management in Primary Prevention of Cerebrovascular Diseases: the Perspective of Healthcare Providers in Belgrade, Serbia”.
Dr Padjen has begun working at Neurology clinic in November 2009. as a researcher on the scientific project of the Ministry of Science and Technological Development of the Republic of Serbia. From November 2011. she is employed as a physician at the Neurology clinic. She passed residency exam in January 2018.

Dr Padjen received French government scholarship within the program of the French Ministry for European exchange (MAEE) and stayed in the University Hospital" Roger Salengro "in Lille, in the vascular neurology department , in period May-July 2010.
In September 2012. she again stayed in the University Hospital" Roger Salengro "in Lille, France because of her PhD thesis.

October 2010. first prize in „IV symposium about cerebrovascular diseases/ International meeting - Trends in neurosonology“, held in Belgrade, with the paper: „ Intravenous thrombolysis in strokes caused with atrial fibrillation – SETIS study“
