Dr Dejana R. Jovanovic has been working at the Department of Emergency Neurology since its establishment in 1987, and since 2001 she is the Chief of Neurological Intensive Care Unit in this department. She graduated in the Medical Faculty in Belgrade in 1986 and in 1994. acquired specialist degree in neurology. Dr Dejana Jovanovic defended her Masters titled "Risk factors for cerebral infarction in young adults” in 1993, and in 2000 defended her doctorial thesis entitled "The etiology and differential diagnosis of cerebrovascular disorders in pregnancy and puerperium”. She performs Colour Duplex ultrasound of neck arteries and Transcranial Doppler. Dejana Jovanovic became Assistant Professor in 1998, and from 2008 she is Associated Professor on School of Medicine, University in Belgrade.
