Dr. Ivana Basta was born in 1970. in Belgrade. She graduated in 1994. with an average mark 9.55 (of 10). From 1996. she is employed at the Neurological Clinic at the Department for neuromuscular and spinal cord diseases. She passed the specialist exam in neurology in 2000. with excellent mark. She started the postgraduate studies in the field of neurology in 1996. and finished master thesis „The significance of anti-glycolipid antibodies in neuromuscular diseases„ in 2002. She finished doctoral thesis „Quality of life study in patients with myasthenia gravis in defined population“ in 2010. under the supervison of Professor Dr. Dragana Lavrnić and Professor Dr. Tatjana Pekmezović. She was engaged as a researcher on the scientific projects of the Ministry of Science and Technological Development of the Republic of Serbia in the period from 1994. to 2010. She is a researcher associate in neurology since January 2011. She is engaged as a researcher on the scientific project of the Ministry of Science and Technological Development of the Republic of Serbia under the guidance of Professor Dr. Tatjana Pekmezovic.
